FOR WHO?
This is a course for beatboxers and vocal percussionists (to be) of all levels, where you learn how to accompany a cappella groups with the right sounds. Teacher for this course is Julian Knörzer from Germany, who is considered (one of) the best vocal percussionists out there, to accompany choirs and vocal groups. Julian also wrote a book, called ‘Beatbox your choir’ and he is teaching beatboxing very regularly. Next to teaching beatboxing, he is also a skilled choir leader. We are very happy that he is on board of the Vocal Leadership team!

WHAT WILL I LEARN?
We will focus on the quality of your sounds, the right technical settings when you use a microphone, tips on performance and breathing and different grooves.

Vocal Leadership weekend 1 : live coaching during the Vocal Leadership classes with Julian on the floor
October: online duo coaching, 60 minutes

REMARK: In Fall 2026 Julian is not available and he will be replaced by the amazing Niels Jensen from Denmark.
Niels is a Danish beatboxer/singer/sound technician. He has been beatboxing with the choir Syng Selected for almost 10 years, and has traveled all around Europe beatboxing and singing with different choirs such as Jazzchor Freiburg and P1tch please! He is also a member of the vocal improvisation group Avopa and recently joined Vocal line. In 2021 he placed 8’th in the Danish beatbox championship.
